Luxurious little hotel near Pattaya
by RL. from Canada(Thursday, May 21, 2009)
Overall
Luxurious, beautiful room, great salt water swimming pool, good food, very helpful English speaking staff. TaiChi Masters, Exercise Room Nice private beach, Calm and Serene, great for Meditation ,This is a super hotel for those who want to spend some calm time near/in the superb pool, read a book (nice library, watch a sunset on the beach, in the whirlpool (2 of them), in the beautiful garden, or play on the massive pool table. Exercise on the different equipment or take free lessons of TaiChi, meditation, etc by the resident TaiChi masters. You can still go to Pattaya for shopping or otherwise during the day (free transportation provided by TukTuk.) or participate in one of many organized tourist tours offered by third parties. The free Internet came very handy for my Video Skye. The very exhaustive menu covers all tastes and I found the cook to be excellent. The bar is very nice as well.

I come back to serene sands again
by Terence William Bailey from uk(Sunday, April 12, 2009)
Overall
"As l expected l did return and was not disappointed, a warm welcome greeted me on arrival and immediately felt at home. 3 rounds of golf, different courses from last time, (Brian doesn't need to much persuading to get out on the course + the Serene Sands has corporate rates at many of the courses), a few nights out and before l knew it was time to come home, that seems to be the only problem, time goes far to quickly when you're enjoying yourself. Again l enjoyed every minute of my stay. The reviews you read on the website are all very positive and from my experiences honest and sincere, but don't take my word for it, try the Serene Sands for yourself if you like what you read, l don't think you will be disappointed. As for me l expect to be back in November, this time l'll be staying longer."

GOOD VACATION
by SVEN SIMSON from ESTONIA(Saturday, April 04, 2009)
Overall
I have been before twice at Jomtien beach area in Thailand and this time I was looking for a quiet and small hotel in northern part of Pattaya. I got into website http://www.r24.org/thailanddiscounthotel.com/pattaya/hotels/ and found the pictures of Serene Sands hotel, just what I was looking for. I read up on the hotel visitors' testimonials and there was no doubt that I was on a right way. The only question was the veraciousness of these extremely positive feedbacks of the customers.
I spent two weeks in Serene Sand hotel and now I can say – this was my best vacation (time) in Thailand and I enjoyed every minute of my stay in that little beautiful hotel. The rare team spirit of the whole staff you never could meet in big (even 5*) hotels. They really had time to be in, instead of requested “keep smiling” for the customers. You could feel yourself like a member of the family. Extremely clean rooms and the whole hotel area. All my expectations were exceeded. I intended not to play golf – thanks to Brian I played this wonderful game three times in different local courses. Thanks to Brian's good advice I think I even improved my technical skills of playing golf!
I did not intend to spend much time in Pattaya night bars – thanks to Brian, Jimmy and their friends I found really nice music bars with professional musicians and nice audience!
I had a nice trip with hotel speed boat between the islands! Every morning and evening I enjoyed delicious food in the hotel restaurant. Great thanks to chef for. I had an opportunity to enjoy extremely professional foot and body massage several times! Great thanks to Sanita! All transportation was organized and other requests fulfilled well. Great thanks to Rossarin and Ben!
So, if you are looking for a true family friendly service and a nice quiet place for a stay in Thailand, I would highly recommend Serene Sand hotel! And also I recommend it to all my friends.

Dear Jim, Brian, Ros and staff
Chad and I just wanted to drop you a few lines to say how grateful we are for making our holiday with Dad and Jordan so special. We all needed to have a relaxing break away from the craziness of everyday life, and your hotel was the perfect fit.
Our room was beautiful and the hotel and grounds were always immaculate. If only we could think up a way of dealing with those irritating mozzies!
We couldn't have asked for better weather for lounging around the pool and treating ourselves to a few spa treatments. Truly slowing down and relaxing is not necessarily an easy thing to do but Serene Sands really slows the mind and body.
All of the staff were so friendly and welcoming, but more than that they were also genuinely happy and seemed to enjoy helping us and making sure all of our needs were catered for. They obviously enjoy working at the hotel and that really comes across.
A special thank you must go to Ros to helping us out on a daily basis with our many varied requests. You were great!
Pattaya was close enough for the occasional shopping trip, and for seeing a typical Thai city outside of Bangkok - with the added advantage of the free open air taxi available to us. Although I don't know why we went into Pattaya to eat some nights when the food was really excellent at the hotel - compliments to the chef! The food was honestly one of the highlights of our trip.
We hope to see you again one day but in the meantime, we wont hesitate in recommending you to any friends interested in going to Thailand.
Thank you all so much and I hope business gets better and better for you - you all deserve it. We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay.

Serene Sands Health Resort

Spent 13 nights with friends at Serene Sands 1st to 14th January 2009 and had the best holiday experience ever. Fantastic little hotel in the most tranquil location. The facilities and service are excellent. All the staff are friendly and very helpful. We loved to just chill out by the large salt water pool or enjoy one of the superb massages on offer at the hotel. Had Chi Kung and meditation lessons, which we enjoyed immensely and hope to keep up at home. The food at the hotel (both Thai & European) is excellent. On the odd occasion that we managed to drag ourselves away from this fantastic place, Jim and Brian the Owners were always available to organise a day out or just provide transport to take us in to town. We’d like to thank them and all their staff for a great holiday in a great hotel were we met some great people. We’ve already booked to come back again for the New Year.

I too was with Kevin Boyd in early January and I will second his vote on what a great place Serene Sands is! You have all the choices to do everthing you want or just relax by the gorgeous salt water pool or have a game of pool under the cabana! Food and service is 10/10, and rooms are the best! Thank you for a great holiday Jim and Brian and all the team!

Spent 7 nights 2nd - 9th January 2009 which I can only describe as fantastic. The two Owners Jim and Brian made our holiday one to remember. All guests are treated as family and the atmosphere is very cordial. On arrival we thought the location would be an issue, but the transport is provided on request and so we quickly found out that location was a plus as the resort is quiet and the facilities and service are second to none. We will be back and recommend to any one wanting a value holiday with great food, friendly service and a total relaxing experience to go for it.

We spent two wonderful weeks at the Serene Sands Hotel and to be honest we could not fault it ! the hotel is new, very well maintanined , displaying excellent taste and facilities. The rooms were great with all the amenities you would need for a comfortable stay. The whole hotel was spotlessly clean and the pool and outdoor area was great.
The hotel is approximately 10 mnutes from town, but this is not an issue at all, as the staff are more than happy to assist with any transport requirements.
All the staff were attentive, pleasant, helpful and very professional and nothing was too much trouble. The owners are readily available and they too were a pleasure to meet, showing a personal touch with all their customers.
All in all I hope to return to the hotel in the not too distant future and I am confident that all customers will be afforded the same hospitality and consideration that we have found. We loved it !

From the airport I was picked up by a car organised, from the hotel and driven the 1 hr 15 min journey to the hotel,On arrival my bag was taken to my room as I was shown around the hotel, nice touch. The room was comfortable and clean as was the rest of the hotel ,and from the moment I arrived I was made to feel welcome and part of the 'family'the staff all being part of the family atmosphere.Brian and Jim talked me through the local scene and although you are about 10 mins out of town transport in and out was never a problem.Golf was arranged and the quality of the courses are excellent. The pool is a decent size for doing lengths and the area is quiet and great for relaxing and just chilling out.The menu is extensive and the food good ,for a small hotel the Facilities are excellent I certainly expect to return next year.

the great hideaway from noise and pollution
by natasa sears from UK(Monday, September 01, 2008)
Overall
I found Serene Sands to be a real oasis, far enough from the noisy bars of Pattaya and not too far from Bangkok. This was the cleanest place we stayed in Thailand and certainly the quietest - the great hideaway from noise and pollution. We found this to be the place for total recharging - lazing by the pool and in jacuzzi, engaging in well-taught Tai Chi and Chi Gung classes or simply by withdrawing for a quiet moment to the meditation room. If you feel like some more action (we didn't) you can use the modern air-conditioned gym, go on some of the daily excursions around Pattaya's most interesting sites, markets or take a boat trip to some of the near-by islands. We found the place great for exploring the real Thailand. We went on the long walks by the sea passing the many fisherman or walking (10min)to the real local market with real Thai prices where we tasted some of the more unusual food. If you are looking for the anonymity that some of the big hotels offer this may not be a place for you. But if you want to feel the warmth of welcome and be a part of family that caters for your every need the Serene Sand will give you a gift of belonging that you'll carry with you long after you were back home. The food served at Serene Sands was delicious and Tom Yam and fresh grilled salmon were among the best I had. Staff made great effort to make our wedding anniversary special. Our dinner was served by the pool and, while the sunlight was spectacularly setting over the sea, we were even offered special Thai mosquito repellent that made the experience completely bite free. Unlike in the most of the bigger hotels we stayed in - massages here were superb and very reasonable priced - two hours of Thai traditional massage melted away every atom of stress caused by fighting Bangkok's skilled scam-artists.
