Stay serene
by Ross from (Wednesday, March 31, 2010)

"Serene Sands is a hidden gem of a hotel. It is difficult to believe that only 5 minutes north of Pattaya there is such a secluded, peaceful resort right on an isolated beach with only old fishing boats bobbing up and down on the waves, however it is true. It is an ideal "hideaway" with a lovely garden and magnificent pool on the beachfront to laze away the days, and easy to get to the restaurants and nightlife of Pattaya in the evening if you feel like it. Owners and staff are extremely friendly but discreet and unobtrusive. The quality of the room and bathroom furnishings is what you would expect in a far more highly priced hotel. Cannot recommend more highly.

No Problem - Whatever you want
by GL London from london,UK(Saturday, March 27, 2010)
Overall
We could not have been treated any better than we were. The nine of us who stayed would not have been looked after better had we rented a 9 room villa with personal servants. Nothing was too much trouble. Value for money, good quiet location near enough to but also far enough away from the town, friendly attentive staff, relaxed atmosphere with good humour aplenty. A happy palce to be. Pattaya offers something for everyone and this hotel is a perfect base from which to explore it. I had a deluxe room that was perfect. Roomy and clean. If in a group, Brian, Jim and the staff will arrange whatever you want and with surprisingly good deals. Thai Rewards is a card that gives discounts on many activities (at a small initial cost) but Brian managed to secure even greater discounts due to his contacts. The only downside was finding out that the lamposts by the pool are not cast iron and that they cannot be replaced using Thai Rewards. A great holiday and a place I hope to return to on a regular basis. I hope to meet the freinds I have made again and again.

I have just returned from a weeks golfing holiday celebrating my 50th birthday at the Serene Sands Hotel. This place is just fantastic. Brian, his delightful wife Hindu, Jim and all the staff made us feel very welcome. they arranged everything from golf, transport, tour of Pattaya clubs, bars and restuarants. If you are going on a golfing trip to Thailand then this hotel is a must. Brian seemed to be able to get the lowest discounts on Pattaya golf courses by a long way.
The food at this hotel is excellent and amazingly ridiculously cheap for the quality. They even arranged a night around the pool for us with a BBq, a band that allowed us to do karoke, chinese lanterns were released on the beach for good luck, then a night dancing with staff and invited guests for a pool party. We finished at 3.00pm. What a night.
The rooms are large, clean and no complaints at all from the nine rooms we took at all levels. Everybody delighted. The staff were brilliant, nothing was to much trouble. I could not recommend this hotel highly enough, an oasis in the middle of madness that is Pattaya, I will be back

We went for 2 nights. Most guests are Europeans and Americans and not many tourists. All the staff speak English and very eager to help. The place is very cozy and homely. The building style and furniture feels more like home. The best was the pool, jacuzzi and garden. Awesome. It truly does wonders to people who just want to laze around and relax. The sea beach was not so great but the pool made up for it. Set up is beautiful and the staff really pamper you. Evenings look very pretty from the dining deck. Food was great too. Some of the dishes were very well cooked. Free shuttle service available to Pattaya town though we didnt use it because we were just happy to be lazing in the hotel.

Overall
quiet and very peaceful. clean. free water. free wifi. good food. helpful staff. nice pool and deck. free tuk tuk. this is a nice peaceful place to relax if you want to get away from the crowd. it's not the place to be if you want to be in the middle of everything. it's quiet, beautifully decorated and landscaped, not crowded and the staff are helpful and nice. some of them struggle with english. the owners are nice and helpful, if you need to know how to get around using the local "taxi-tuk-tuk" she can tell you how to do it and it will save you a lot of money. the pool is wonderful but if you're wanting the beach this isn't the place to go, unless you just want the view. the beach has garbage and the water is quite dirty, but the atmosphere is nice. food: the fish and chips is expensive but it was really good. fruit shakes are good. fish sandwich good. prices a little steep but the food was never disappointing.

We’d just like to say a very big thank you to all the staff at Serene Sands for yet another wonderful holiday. This is our second visit in 12 months and on arrival it was like we’d never been away, everyone was genuinely so pleased to welcome us back, it was just like going home.
We’ve had 3 wonderful weeks of total relaxation and pampering and didn’t want to come home. The hotel facilities and service were excellent as usual and Derek sends a special thank you to the Chef, for all the wonderful food, especially the home made Pizza’s, which are fabulous.
We enjoyed a great 2 day trip to The River Kwai, which the hotel organised for us. It was great value for money and to be recommended. The lads are still getting over their boys night out and Kevin sends a special thank you to Pokky for nursing him back to health after his severe attack of Gout.
We will certainly be coming back to Serene Sands again as soon as we can.

Home away from home
by smcinto from London(Friday, January 08, 2010)
Overall
Have always been highly sceptical of gushing reviews, however I can not sing enough praises for Serene Sands staff and management.
The location of the hotel is far away enough from the madness of Pattaya yet near enough for a daily or nightly dose. (approx 15 mins).
Serene Sands has a feel of a home away from home and you instantly feel relaxed the moment you step through the doors, especially after a long distant flight.
The hotel has fantastic facilties, is well maintained and most of all clean. As a frequent traveller for both business and pleasure this is something that can not always be guaranteed, especially when you do see some of the other hotels in Pattaya!!!
The small private beach also makes relaxing even more enjoyable which is not possible in the main Pattaya area. As a result you can enjoy two holidays, one where you can party all day and night (in Pattaya) and one for relaxation and pampering (Serene Sands).
Have to say a HUGE thanks to the staff for a wonderful time which was just what the doctor ordered!!!
Many thanks and hopefully see you all again soon!

Out of the centre of Pattaya but we were glad to be in a quieter area, it is in a local housing area which we enjoyed being able to see daily life for the locals. During the day there is a free shuttle service to wherever you want to go in Pattaya and the staff will advise you what is available. We could not find the hotel when we arrived in Pattaya. We loved this hotel and were made to feel like friends from the minute we arrived, everyone always smiled and nothing was too much trouble. We were upgraded due to me having a birthday whilst there and the owner and her lovely staff invited us to join them on a night out in walking street which was a fantastic experience and so much nicer when you are with someone who knows where to go and speaks Thai. The hotel has good facilities that included a lovely sized pool & jacuzzi, gym, billiard table, very small private beach with decked area above for relaxing and lessons in Thai Chi, Swiiming and other activities. Everyone made our stay so enjoyable and made us feel part of a family including the owners adorable sons. We chose to extend our stay by a couple of days and had a wonderful time. Would we recommend it, certainly without hesitation and we would return if we return to Pattaya

Hi All,
Hope all is good for you all! I'm back home safe and at work. I had a lovely time during my stay and really do understand the need for extending my next visit - there is so much more I'd like to do but I'd like to do all those things with my partner Davie when we come visit you later this year.
Your staff at the hotel are exceptional all with smiles. My new friend Indu and I had some real laughs and special times which was lovely. The massage treatments from chanitta were excellent (good jip ha ha). Food brill and the brandy even better. I can't believe I slept so much but I must have needed it and on other days I was feeling sad missing Davie so next time I will be not so alone.
Thank you to all for taking so much time to make me feel welcome and aware of all the trips and things going on which I really did not take advantage of but my task was to 'find myself' and switch off which was very good for me. I hope John is still enjoying his time there and coming up with new and better ideas every day.
Well everyone take care of yourselves and of each other you are a great team keep it that way.
Bestest of wishes and bless you all,

TaiChi Masters, Exercise Room Nice private beach, Calm and Serene, great for Meditation ,This is a super hotel for those who want to spend some calm time near/in the superb pool, read a book (nice library, watch a sunset on the beach, in the whirlpool (2 of them), in the beautiful garden, or play on the massive pool table. Exercise on the different equipment or take free lessons of TaiChi, meditation, etc by the resident TaiChi masters. You can still go to Pattaya for shopping or otherwise during the day (free transportation provided by TukTuk.) or participate in one of many organized tourist tours offered by third parties. The free Internet came very handy for my Video Skye. Again l enjoyed every minute of my stay. The reviews you read on the website are all very positive and from my experiences honest and sincere, but don't take my word for it, try the Serene Sands for yourself if you like what you read, l don't think you will be disappointed. GOOD VACATION
by SVEN SIMSON from ESTONIA(Saturday, April 04, 2009)
Overall
I have been before twice at Jomtien beach area in Thailand and this time I was looking for a quiet and small hotel in northern part of Pattaya. I got into website http://www.r24.org/thailanddiscounthotel.com/pattaya/hotels/ and found the pictures of Serene Sands hotel, just what I was looking for. I read up on the hotel visitors' testimonials and there was no doubt that I was on a right way. The only question was the veraciousness of these extremely positive feedbacks of the customers.
I spent two weeks in Serene Sand hotel and now I can say – this was my best vacation (time) in Thailand and I enjoyed every minute of my stay in that little beautiful hotel. The rare team spirit of the whole staff you never could meet in big (even 5*) hotels. They really had time to be in, instead of requested “keep smiling” for the customers. You could feel yourself like a member of the family. Extremely clean rooms and the whole hotel area. All my expectations were exceeded. I intended not to play golf I played this wonderful game three times in different local courses. Thanks to good advice I think I even improved my technical skills of playing golf!
I did not intend to spend much time in Pattaya night bars –I found really nice music bars with professional musicians and nice audience!
I had a nice trip with hotel speed boat between the islands! Every morning and evening I enjoyed delicious food in the hotel restaurant. Great thanks to chef for. I had an opportunity to enjoy extremely professional foot and body massage several times! Great thanks to Sanita! All transportation was organized and other requests fulfilled well. Great thanks to Rossarin and Ben!
So, if you are looking for a true family friendly service and a nice quiet place for a stay in Thailand, I would highly recommend Serene Sand hotel! And also I recommend it to all my friends.

Thanks for wonderful stay
by Debbie and Chad Beasley from Australia(Friday, February 06, 2009)
Overall
Chad and I just wanted to drop you a few lines to say how grateful we are for making our holiday with Dad and Jordan so special. We all needed to have a relaxing break away from the craziness of everyday life, and your hotel was the perfect fit.
Our room was beautiful and the hotel and grounds were always immaculate. If only we could think up a way of dealing with those irritating mozzies!
We couldn't have asked for better weather for lounging around the pool and treating ourselves to a few spa treatments. Truly slowing down and relaxing is not necessarily an easy thing to do but Serene Sands really slows the mind and body.
All of the staff were so friendly and welcoming, but more than that they were also genuinely happy and seemed to enjoy helping us and making sure all of our needs were catered for. They obviously enjoy working at the hotel and that really comes across.
A special thank you must go to Ros to helping us out on a daily basis with our many varied requests. You were great!
Pattaya was close enough for the occasional shopping trip, and for seeing a typical Thai city outside of Bangkok - with the added advantage of the free open air taxi available to us. Although I don't know why we went into Pattaya to eat some nights when the food was really excellent at the hotel - compliments to the chef! The food was honestly one of the highlights of our trip.
We hope to see you again one day but in the meantime, we wont hesitate in recommending you to any friends interested in going to Thailand.
Thank you all so much and I hope business gets better and better for you - you all deserve it. We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay.

Spent 13 nights with friends at Serene Sands 1st to 14th January 2009 and had the best holiday experience ever. Fantastic little hotel in the most tranquil location. The facilities and service are excellent. All the staff are friendly and very helpful. We loved to just chill out by the large salt water pool or enjoy one of the superb massages on offer at the hotel. Had Chi Kung and meditation lessons, which we enjoyed immensely and hope to keep up at home. The food at the hotel (both Thai & European) is excellent. On the odd occasion that we managed to drag ourselves away from this fantastic place, Owners were always available to organise a day out or just provide transport to take us in to town. We’d like to thank them and all their staff for a great holiday in a great hotel were we met some great people. We’ve already booked to come back again for the New Year.

We spent two wonderful weeks at the Serene Sands Hotel and to be honest we could not fault it ! the hotel is new, very well maintanined , displaying excellent taste and facilities. The rooms were great with all the amenities you would need for a comfortable stay. The whole hotel was spotlessly clean and the pool and outdoor area was great.
The hotel is approximately 10 mnutes from town, but this is not an issue at all, as the staff are more than happy to assist with any transport requirements.
All the staff were attentive, pleasant, helpful and very professional and nothing was too much trouble. The owners are readily available and they too were a pleasure to meet, showing a personal touch with all their customers.
All in all I hope to return to the hotel in the not too distant future and I am confident that all customers will be afforded the same hospitality and consideration that we have found. We loved it !

We like the kindness of the staff, the good food, the clean room, the beautyfull location, the pool.
Hope you put a BIG sign on the highway so everyone can see it on the spot, also the taxi driver coming back from Pattaya.

From the airport I was picked up by a car organised, from the hotel and driven the 1 hr 15 min journey to the hotel,On arrival my bag was taken to my room as I was shown around the hotel, nice touch. The room was comfortable and clean as was the rest of the hotel ,and from the moment I arrived I was made to feel welcome and part of the 'family'the staff all being part of the family atmosphere. The owner talked me through the local scene and although you are about 10 mins out of town transport in and out was never a problem.Golf was arranged and the quality of the courses are excellent. The pool is a decent size for doing lengths and the area is quiet and great for relaxing and just chilling out.The menu is extensive and the food good ,for a small hotel the Facilities are excellent I certainly expect to return next year.

the great hideaway from noise and pollution
by natasa sears from UK(Monday, September 01, 2008)
Overall
I found Serene Sands to be a real oasis, far enough from the noisy bars of Pattaya and not too far from Bangkok. This was the cleanest place we stayed in Thailand and certainly the quietest - the great hideaway from noise and pollution. We found this to be the place for total recharging - lazing by the pool and in jacuzzi, engaging in well-taught Tai Chi and Chi Gung classes or simply by withdrawing for a quiet moment to the meditation room. If you feel like some more action (we didn't) you can use the modern air-conditioned gym, go on some of the daily excursions around Pattaya's most interesting sites, markets or take a boat trip to some of the near-by islands. We found the place great for exploring the real Thailand. We went on the long walks by the sea passing the many fisherman or walking (10min)to the real local market with real Thai prices where we tasted some of the more unusual food. If you are looking for the anonymity that some of the big hotels offer this may not be a place for you. But if you want to feel the warmth of welcome and be a part of family that caters for your every need the Serene Sand will give you a gift of belonging that you'll carry with you long after you were back home. The food served at Serene Sands was delicious and Tom Yam and fresh grilled salmon were among the best I had. Staff made great effort to make our wedding anniversary special. Our dinner was served by the pool and, while the sunlight was spectacularly setting over the sea, we were even offered special Thai mosquito repellent that made the experience completely bite free. Unlike in the most of the bigger hotels we stayed in - massages here were superb and very reasonable priced - two hours of Thai traditional massage melted away every atom of stress caused by fighting Bangkok's skilled scam-artists.

new hotel, just opened, absolutely fabulous. the owners & staff provide a service thats unbeatable. transports laid on everywhere, organised functions outings & treatments. their own tuc tuc & speedboat (which I loved, and had an exciting 1/2 hour at the wheel) swimming pool, steamroom spas & massage to relax before a beautiful meal a few service hiccups, but fried rice as good as steamed....ha ha going back oh forgot, learned some tai chi, will try to keep up practice
